a person who carries on by way of business one or more of the following activities specified in the Regulated Activities Order:

1. (a) credit broking (article 36A);
1. (b) debt adjusting (article 39D);
1. (c) debt counselling (article 39E);
1. (d) debt collecting (article 39F);
1. (e) debt administration (article 39G);
1. (f) entering into a regulated credit agreement as lender (article 60B(1) (disregarding the effect of article 60F));
1. (g) exercising, or having the right to exercise, the lender's rights and duties under a regulated credit agreement (article 60B(2) (disregarding the effect of article 60F));
1. (h) entering into a regulated consumer hire agreement as owner (article 60N(1) (disregarding the effect of article 60P));
1. (i) exercising, or having the right to exercise, the owner's rights and duties under a regulated consumer hire agreement (article 60N(2) (disregarding the effect of article 60P);
1. (j) providing credit references (article 89B);174
1. (k) advising on regulated credit agreements for the acquisition of land (article 53DA).174
