        1. (1) (in GENPRU (except GENPRU 3 and BIPRU (except BIPRU 12)) (in accordance with Article 4(14) of the Banking Consolidation Directive and Article 3 of the Capital Adequacy Directive (Definitions)) an institution which has an institution or a financial institution as a subsidiary undertaking or which holds a participation in such an institution, and which is not itself a subsidiary undertaking of another institution authorised in the same EEA State, or of a financial holding company or mixed financial holding company established in the same EEA State.
        1. (2) (except in (1)) has the meaning in article 4(1)(28) of the EU CRR.
