qualifying credit promotion

3an invitation or inducement that relates to qualifying credit; that is, an invitation or inducement to:

1. (a) enter or offer to enter into an agreement the making or performance of which by either party constitutes the controlled activity in:
   1. (i) paragraph 10 (Providing qualifying credit); or
   1. (ii) paragraph 10A (Arranging qualifying credit etc.); or
   1. (iii) paragraph 10B (Advising on qualifying credit etc.);
   of schedule 1 to the Financial Promotion Order; or
1. (b) exercise any rights conferred by an agreement for qualifying credit to acquire, dispose of, underwrite or convert rights under an agreement for qualifying credit.
