1The rules in this sourcebook apply to trade repositories registered in accordance with Article 55 of Regulation (EU) No 648/2012.

EMIRR 1.1.2 R

1The applicable rules and guidance in GEN apply to trade repositories registered in accordance with Article 55 of Regulation (EU) No 648/2012.

EMIRR 1.2 Purpose

EMIRR 1.2.1 G

1The purpose of the rules in this sourcebook is to impose requirements on trade repositories in relation to:

  1. (1)

    procedures for the effective reconciliation of data between trade repositories;

  2. (2)

    procedures to verify compliance by counterparties and CCPs with the reporting obligation under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No 648/2012; and

  3. (3)

    procedures to verify the completeness and correctness of the data reported.

1Where a term is defined in Regulation (EU) No 648/2012, that definition shall apply for the purposes of this sourcebook.
